The City of Beaverton is located 7 miles West of downtown Portland and is home to one of the areas largest employers, Nike. The City has several major highways intersecting it including highway 217 which runs North and South and highway 26 running East and West. The population is approximately 90,000 residents. The City of Aloha boarders Beaverton to the West with a population of around 50,000 residents. This City is intersected by highway 8, also referred to as Tualatin Valley Highway. Aloha is home to the Aloha Intel campus and employs 1,400 people.
