The City of Vancouver is located North of the Columbia River and is often considered part of the Portland Metropolitan area with many residents commuting across the state line for work. Vancouver is easily accessible via multiple highway systems including I-5, I-205, SR 500 and Hwy 14. The city primarily runs West to East with a downtown on the West, a central area between I-5 and I-205 and a bustling East on the East side of I-205. There are 167,500 residents that live in Vancouver.
