Oregon City is home to the finish line of the Oregon Trail and was one of the first areas inhabited by outside settlers. The North border of the city is the confluence of the Clackamas River with the larger Willamette River. This city is divided into two areas by a large basalt bluff respectively known as upper and lower Oregon City. Lower Oregon City is primarily industry inhabited and Upper Oregon City is primarily residential. Interstate 205 , highway 99E and highway 213 all intersect the city. Clackamas Community College is located within city limits with an enrollment of 37,551 students and there are 35,000 residents in Oregon City.
